We live in an era of digital surveillance cameras; facial recognition software; license plate readers; tipster apps on smart phones; actual security robots on patrol and other high tech crime fighting tools. They make the task of safety creation, professional and personal, much easier. I do caution allies who feel these innovations are the only way to save the day that looking out for each other remains the highest technology at our our command. I illustrate my point by underscoring that aside from being a quantum leap in criminal identification, these innovations still can't apprehend suspects. They aren't like the Autobots from the Transformers comic book, cartoon and movie series. Not yet at  least. The simple yet supremely important act of looking out for each other is the highest technology brought to bear against crime. ( From Cap Black Social Media ): Thoughts after the #TropicalStorm Barry Mobilization. #Collectiveconsciousness radiated terse expectations regarding what this former Category One hurricane and tropical storm would do when it arrived in New Orleans. Of all words spoken and typed about this event, one I didn't see or hear was, #prepper. It often conjures connotations of militarists, cultists and survivalists, among other ominous " ists " in skeptical minds. Sweeping store closures and mass buying underscored the very real need of folks to have  food, water and other supplies independent of what government and big nonprofits offer in time consuming times of need. The word prepper may make folks uneasy. What makes me even more uneasy is the thought of people hungry, thirsty and frantic during real or imagined crisis because they didn't or couldn't stock supplies to sustain themselves until conditions return to normal. #RewardSeekers: Expanded #Bountyhunting. ( From UrbanSafetyist on Instagram ): People who are wanted by the law, and unwanted by victims, families, friends, and victim advocates, may need pursuers beyond the ranks of overburdened law enforcement and  #bailagents facing competition from the pre trial release movement. Many moons ago back home, as my #SafetyCreation Theory took shape, I applied the basic role of  #bountyhunter to non #bail related fugitives: child support, probation and parole violators and fugitives advertised in local papers. Some long term #bountyhunters had shared this expansion of #fugitiverecovery and I explored it. My working title for such  endeavors is Reward Seeker ( RS ). A reward seeker is an expanded bounty hunter whose #motivation isn't always monetary ( Gasp!, Lol ) and doesn't require an intermediary like a bail agent. #Motivation runs the gamut from the thrill of the " hunt " per se to the satisfaction of ins...
