#RewardSeekers: Expanded #Bountyhunting.

( From UrbanSafetyist on Instagram ): People who are wanted by the law, and unwanted by victims, families, friends, and victim advocates, may need pursuers beyond the ranks of overburdened law enforcement and  #bailagents facing competition from the pre trial release movement.

Many moons ago back home, as my #SafetyCreation Theory took shape, I applied the basic role of  #bountyhunter to non #bail related fugitives: child support, probation and parole violators and fugitives advertised in local papers.

Some long term #bountyhunters had shared this expansion of #fugitiverecovery and I explored it.

My working title for such  endeavors is Reward Seeker ( RS ). A reward seeker is an expanded bounty hunter whose #motivation isn't always monetary ( Gasp!, Lol ) and doesn't require an intermediary like a bail agent.

#Motivation runs the gamut from the thrill of the " hunt " per se to the satisfaction of insuring a negative person gets overdue just due.

I know reward seekers who hunt stolen bikes, for free, with all the zeal of icon Dog the Bounty Hunter.

Reward seeking has a place in Safety Creation as communities, entities and events grapple with negative persons who should be in custody and/or getting some counseling in a secure facility.

I'm passionate about putting the public back in public safety and reward seeking is one way to do so, within ones comfort zone and legality.

We must hold those who are wanted accountable for past misdeeds and current misery they cause others.

Whether u lean toward #protection ( detaining and surrendering to authorities ) or  #prevention ( wrap around services and diversion ), we can agree that stopping negativity is the first step of either process.

That act in and of itself, is often reward enough.
